Barrow-upon-Soar
is centrally located in a region known as the East
Midlands, Barrow lies in the Soar Valley and on
the River Soar itself just to the east of the A6,
the main route between Leicester and Loughborough,
and about 110 miles north of central London. Leicester,
the county seat, is 10 miles southward, Loughborough
being 4 miles to the north.
